Language selection toolbar

Post by itcargo » Thu Jul 19, 2018 1:11 pm

Hello everyone.

I have a strange behavior on only one of our TSPLus servers. On that one, the language bar is shown, not on the other ones.
The problem is that is is showing on top of our application which is not very convenient.

Is there a way to deactivate the language selection toolbar ?

Many thanks for your help

Hello,

This issue may occur if you are using the remote taskbar. Open an admin tool / application tile / customize taskbar, and check the "Hide system tray" box. logoff and logon again for changes to take effect.

This can also occur because you are using the seamless connection client, if that is the case I recommend you to use the Remote App connection client.

Hello Olivier,

Thanks for your reply.
I don't think it has something to do with the remote task bar as I have the language bar displayed on one server and not on the others, and all are obviously configured the same (Hide system tray is not checked on any of the servers).

What do you mean with seamless connection ? We are connecting with HTML5 portal...

Thanks

Regards
Michael.

Hello,

This bar appears because multiple keyboard language are installed on your server, removing one can fix this issue.

If you are using HTML5, then you need to disable language bar in the regional settings of windows for all users. You should be able to do this in the control panel / regional settings

You can also do this by group policy
Type in "gpedit.msc" and press "Enter."
Navigate to the following directory in the Group Policy editor by double-clicking the folders in the left window pane:

User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Control Panel/Regional and Language Options

Double-click "Restrict selection of Windows menus and dialogs language." A dialog box will appear. Click "Enable" and OK. Reboot your server or use the gpupdate /force command in a cmd prompt.
