Black Screen

Post by dcipher » Fri Jan 13, 2017 12:39 pm

Hi

We have customers using the portable client and now when they connect to the Windows 2012 R2 server will occasionally get a black screen. We have never seen this before. We are using TSPlus version 9.70.12.25.

In order to try and solve this problem I updated Java to the latest 64bit version but I still happens intermittently.

Also when you connect to the server the Windows Explorer is displayed then it goes away and the Windows desktop is shown. I am not sure why Windows Explorer is shown first.

Generated client is not depending on Java in your case.

When I use CTRL+Alt+End the screen responds and displays logoff options. I simply logout and allow them to try logging in again. This problems happens multiple times per day on one of our servers but we do not the cause.

That is good, install latest Tsplus January update and check if it gets fixed.

I had my first customer experience the Black Screen today after all the updates. They user Ctrl+Alt+End and logged out. When they logged back in they got the proper screen.
