Remote Desktop Services has taken too long to load the user

After update to version 8.20 there is lots of errors in Event Log:

Remote Desktop Services has taken too long to load the user configuration from server XXX for user YYY (ID: 20499).
Some users cannot login at all and after a time of trying they were able to login. Shoul we downgrade to old version?


With version 7.90 there is no that error at all.

Hello,

Since this issue is very uncommon, I recommend you to reinstall TSplus.

Follow these steps :

1- Make sure no users are connected, then uninstall TSplus, reboot your computer.
3- make sure no TSplus folder remains in C:\Program Files (x86)\ and no C:\wsession, if so delete it.
2- Download and install the latest setup : dl-files.com/Setup-TSplus.exe
3- Apply your license again, your server should be fine.

I recommended you also to deactivate your antivirus before installing TSPlus.

If your antivirus is too intrusive you can set an exclusion rule on the following path : C:\Program Files (86)\TSPlus and C:\wsession

We did as you suggested but warning still appears on every login. Users login normally, only that warning, we don't know why.

Hello,

If this issue occurs only for one specific user then it means this user profile is corrupted. This happens when your server shuts down because of a power failure. In this case open a windows explorer and delete the user profile located in C:\Users\name of the user

Opening a session with this user will generate a new profile folder, make sure you save documents and mails before doing so if relevant.

If I delete user profile folder, new one will not re-create on user login, it will use default one. There is no way you can re-create profile for existing user. You must delete user and create it again. But, that is not solution. Message still appears on all users, new or old. This is not related to specific profile. It looks more like a system thing.

Hello,

If your server is the member of domain, since this issue seems to be "global" and affecting all users. You could try the following :
- remove your server from domain
- reboot
- integrate your server to your domain again.
- reboot

This issue may be a DNS issue, make sure your TSplus server has the domain controller IP address set as the main DNS server and make sure you do not have a DNS server configuration issue.

Hello!

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, our admin says that is this very difficult, because our server is domain controller, so if we apply this, it will disappear all settings. Do you have any other advice?

Hello,

Yes your admin is correct, you cannot do this if your server is the domain controller. Some other aspects to check also, if your users are using roaming profile, note that terminal server profile are not supported with the use of TSplus.
