Port 3389

Post by djshades2004 » Fri Mar 25, 2016 1:27 pm

Hi,

We have installed tsplus and had installed a certificate and is all working. In regards to security we don't want to put port 3389 on a public facing interface, I know you can change the port number, but this does not do anything for security.

We would like everyone to go through port 443 using ssl. we can access the web interface using "https" but how can we force the rdp client to connect using only a secure connection.

Hello,

Well the best way would be to block all incoming requests on your RDP port, for instance on your router and/or firewall configuration.

This will force all users to connect through port 443.

Hi Adrien,

Did try this but the client would not work even though I set the port to 443 on the client creator. It displays a message about port 80 not being available. Would you still be able to load balance with all traffic hitting 443? and how to rdp client see the ssl certificate to encrypt traffic?
