TSPlus on HTML5 problem on downloading PDF file

Post by cesare » Mon Feb 22, 2016 9:02 am

Hello

we report an unexpected behaviour of TSPlus using the HTML5 browser, where it is NOT downloaded correctly the remote PDF to local user Download folder.

We are reproducing systematically the problem as follow:

- Open the remote PDF document using TSPlus using the HTML5 browser, then Use the Save as function and save the same file to the WebFile folder, see "PDF Save as (1).png".

- The file is properly saved in the WebFile folder, see "PDF Save as (2).png".

- Now expecting that user on his local Download folder he get the same PDF.
Here the problem, where he get only a strange "xxx1.pdf-Zone.Identifier" file but NOT the real PDF "xxx1.pdf", see "PDF Save as (3).png".

Doing the same above operation not saving PDF to to the WebFile folder, but saving it at first to the remote Desktop (or other folder) folder then copying it manually into to the WebFile folder, IT WORKS properly, meaning getting the real PDF on his local download folder.
Also here user get a strange "xxx1.pdf-Zone.Identifier" file, but in this case "xxx1.pdf" is received correctly by the user on his local download folder.

We are using TSPlus 9.10.2.17 server by a Windows 10 machine.
The above case has been reproduced using Chrome Mac 48.0.2564.116 (64-bit)

If you have suggestions they will be kindly appreciated.

Best regards.

Re: TSPlus on HTML5 problem on downloading PDF file (SOLVED)

Hello

if it can be useful I have done another discovering, related to the above case: if I open the PDF remotely, using HTML5, but using another PDF READER (I have tried sumatrapdfreader) all the above WORKS PERFECTLY, meaning I save the file directly to the WebFile folder and I always get locally, in the download folder, the PDF.

Thanks in advance for any reply.
