seamless and remote app setup
I am running a trial of tsplus on Win Server 2012 Essentials. So far, very impressive!
I would like to assign a user or group to a specific app so that when they log in my app opens and they have no other access to the server.
On the server, I opened Assign Application, selected the user and checked my app - nothing else is selected.
Then on the remote client, I use the Windows 7 Pro Remote Desktop Connection to log in as this client, but I only get the standard RDP desktop - the application I assigned to this user does not open.
How do I do this correctly?

Hello,
Were you successful at launching your app with this user in a full desktop environment ? Usually when an error occurs after assigning a single app to a user a full desktop is launched instead. Most frequently this is a NTFS right issue, or some configuration is missing for this user.
If you want to secure your server to prevent your users to access a full desktop I recommend you to use the remote taskbar or the floating panel.

and another one for the remote taskbar : youtu.be/LcnIg6YYvyo

Yes, once I am connected and can see the MS RDP desktop, I can open the file explorer and successfully run the app that I have assigned to the user.
Is the MS RDP taking over from TSPlus? Do I need to disable the Microsoft RDP on the server?

Hello,
You do not need to disable RDP from the server, however some application need the full desktop (explorer.exe process dependency) to run properly and therefore cannot be launched as a single and unique application. This is why I suggested you earlier to test this application with the use of the remote taskbar or floating panel.

Yes, when I do the web access, I get a server desktop with my app in one of the boxes. When I click, it opens the app.
The app is a windows WPF application that has an embedded Internet Explorer 10 control. Could this cause the problem?

More info...
I changed the settings for the user to exclude my program and show the floating toolbar, file transfer and notepad. I still get the Windows desktop when I open.
Do I have to restart anything when I make these changes for them to take effect?

Re: seamless and remote app setup -SOLVED
I uninstalled, rebooted and then re-installed.
Now it works as expected. I assigned my app to a user and now when I log in as that user my program opens automatically.

Hello,
Glad you figured it out, the app you did have to reinstall was TSplus ? Sometimes the solution is so simple we can't just see it !

Yes, I reinstalled TSPlus.
Then I assigned my application to a user so that when a user logged in, my app was automatically started.
