svcr.exe memory leak?
svcr.exe memory leak?
Hello,
We have to reboot our server yesterday because the memory usage of process svcr.exe with user "SYSTEM" have grown to more than 3GB and the system was very slow and unresponsive. Also, it's memory consumption has grown from about 8MB (right after reboot) to about 106MB (as of this moment) in less than 24hrs and never go down. We have about 40 users login. TSplus version 11.30.3.24 on server 2008r2.
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Alex

Re: svcr.exe memory leak?
Hello,
The svcac.exe (svcac.bin) system process starts at reboot, do its job, and then just wait forwever.
To fix this issue, please apply the latest UpdateRelease and reboot
http://dl-files.com/UpdateRelease.exe
Doind so you will be sure that "something corrupted" will be replace by a valid program.
Kind regards
John

Re: svcr.exe memory leak?
Hello,
is this patch made to fix this specific problem or is this just a latest release of TSplus?
We have another server with 11.40.8.10 (before patch) on server2012r2 which suffer the same problem, applied the patch, reboot, same tsplus version no. reported, svcr.exe's memory footprint was about 8MB right after reboot but it is consuming about 188MB as of this moment. This server is up for just 1 day and 15 hours.

Re: svcr.exe memory leak?
Hello,
svcr.exe is used to launch assigned remote applications. If you notice that too much memories is used, you should simply plan a reboot of your server every night. This will unfragment memory and make your server more stable.

Re: svcr.exe memory leak?
it is not about "too much memories is used". it's about "the memories is used but never give it back when the job is done" i.e "memory leak". So, does TSplus have plan to fix this issue?admin wrote:Hello,

EDIT: re-phrased the question.
