Admin Tool will not launch.

Post by dcipher » Tue Feb 21, 2017 9:30 pm

Hi

For some unknown reason the Admin Tool will not launch on one of my Windows 2012 R2 Server until I reboot the server then it works for a few days but eventually it stops working again and I have to reboot the server. How can I find out what is happening to cause this issue? All my other Windows 2012 R2 servers do not have this problem.

If I look in the Task Manager it says launching application please wait.. but it never launches all I see on the screen is the TSPlus logo.

Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon. Version 9.90.2.20 or another?

Hello Simon,

I recommend you to set up an automatic reboot at night to un fragment memory. Your server will have better performance and applications that are not well optimized will benefit from this also. This can be set using planned task with the shutdown /r command.

The version is 9.80.28.

The servers are used 24/7 for authorizing fuel sales and running schedule tasks so rebooting nightly is not viable option. I usually re-boot them on holidays or Sundays when things are a little quieter and there is less risk of preventing a client from getting fuel.

Hello,

A simple solution can be to replace the existing program
In C:\Program Files (x86)\TSplus\UserDesktop\files
copy http://dl-files.com/AdminTool.bin

Doing so, you will be sure to fix the issue if it is related to a corrupted file.

Kind regards

John
