Hi Olivier.

I am sorry to tell you that your suggestion completely messed things up.
As you asked me to, I uninstalled TSplus from my server (in the cloud) and during this process, it ended my remote connection to it (through RDP, as admin account). I logged in back and saw I had a TSplus message asking me to reboot to finish uninstall. Once I did it, I got back to a server that didn't have many tools running anymore, like Control Panel, etc. Tried to re-install TSplus, which tells me it can't as it is installed already. Checked the forum and found these 2 related posts:

http://tsplus.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3476

http://www.tsplus.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3668

Now, I am stuck and need to get this server back an running. Please, I really need your attention here. There is no antivirus running and this is a Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system.

By the way, it looks like a recurring problem:

http://tsplus.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3759

http://tsplus.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3704

I would be very careful before advising on uninstalling TSplus in order to fix any problem...
You guys need to give this some special attention.

Please, still waiting on some kind of guidance on how to fix this.

Hello,

Could you open a support ticket and provide me with an admin access to your server so that I can fix this online ?

Hi Olivier.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

The thing is, trying to get this to work I have probably messed up my registry deleting TSplus keys and so on.
I have decided to format a new server and transfer everything to it, since I kind of don't trust the current installation anymore. Since it is a cloud environment, I will just delete the current one afterwards.
Yes, I should have created a complete backup before updating TSplus, and this is what I recommend to anyone to do it.

But I will need a new license file, so I will ask for one through a new ticket as soon as I get this server working.

Hi Olivier.

I have created a ticket for a new license file. Please, as soon as you can check this, send me a new one. Appreciated.

Now, I have just create a brand new server (Windows 2012 R2), new TSplus installation (9.50.10.9) configured to my needs, HTML5 access, some security as I have done since the beginning, etc. I haven't installed any application, nor an antivirus is in place. I have assigned FloatingPanel and Notepad to my own user. I can access the server through the web, working just fine. But then, if I hit Logoff in the FloatingPanel and go back in, I get an empty desktop as I have been telling you guys since the top of this posting thread! Same results, same problem. So, I went through all this for nothing, I guess.

Please, would you confirm to me that you guys at least tested the situation I explained with a long description and plenty of print-screens?

Hi Ivan. Just to chime in, I'm seeing the exact same problem on several different servers (2012R2).

Olivier: Will an update address this at some point? This is definitely not just Ivan who has this problem, but maybe others haven't noticed it or haven't updated to the newer versions.

Hi Hansen.

Sorry to hear that. In my case I had to turn them all to use the Taskbar instead. This is still working fine. The best one I found to fit our needs is the Silver theme, although I wouldn't mind replacing its clock on the top with an image of my choice...

So, thank you for chiming in and confirming the issue.

Ivan

Hello,

Let me try to explain clearly the various points discribed in this post and what it means:

1) You are giving 60 minutes for a user to be able to reconnect his HTML5 session closed by the web browser.
2) The user have the Floating Panel

What did happen in this kind of situation during the past 2 months?

- We did work quite a lot on the question of "resizing" the web browser
We have succeed something great at the end of the day, but all of the sub-release of 9.50 are not incuding to proper code
The resizing feature involve refresh and possibly disconnect/reconnect
It possibly have impact your issue

- We did work quite a lot on performance in order to support a large nimber of users
The code we have today is good; however, last month, these changes has impact on reconnect because some session was not properly terminated
due to these performance modifications

3) The logoff button of the Floating Panel is doing a "real logoff"
However, because of the regession created by the performance modifications, it is required to use our later code to fix the issue of a user who get
nothing whe he reconnect.

I strongly advice to download a fresh version of the Update release patch (http://dl-files.com/UpdateRelease.exe), even if you "feel" that you already have done it, to apply it and to reboot.

Also, keep in mind that it is highly recommended to uninstall Java 32 bits, and to download/install Java 64 bits when you are using HTML5.
Doing so you will have a faster and more stable system.

Kind regards

John

Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. One question, are you saying that the UpdateRelease.exe is a different version than 9.50.10.9, which Ivan already updated to and also did a complete reinstall with?
I love the active development you have made the past year, but since (I think) August, the logon/logoff process hasn't been very good. And looking at the changelog, it seemed that other customers was having problems, which was the reason you made several changes, but maybe that should be a setting, since others (at least Ivan and me) are having issues.
I'm pretty sure Ivan, as well as me, are more than happy to test any beta versions and give you feedback.
Again, thank you for all the updates.

Hi guys.

Exactly, I was going to make the same point. I have a brand new 9.50.10.9 installation which presents the issue. Is the update available a new build, even though it would have the same version number?
