Administrator loses desktop whenever a user is connected

Post by clubman » Wed Dec 17, 2014 7:48 am

Hello,

I installed the demo version of the product on my company’s server running Win 2012 R2 Essentials using the administrator account. I created 3 others account which connect ok in some minor tests I did. The problem is that whenever a users connects remotely to the server, the administrator account which is connected using the server maching, loses his desktop. It is just blank blue screen desktop. The only way to restore it is to press CTRL+ALT+DEL, open task manager and type “explorer.exe” using File->Run New Task.

Can you please give me some guidance on how to supersede this problem?

OK I have narrowed down the problem. The problem mentioned above happens to all users but only if they are logged on at the physical machine. If they are logged on through RDP then whenever another users logs in, the windows shell (EXPLORER.EXE),the desktop, taskbar etc on their session is lost for 2 seconds and then reappears by itself, like doing a refresh. If the user is logged on using the physical machine (server) then the shell never reappears.

Also, another problem is that my users have to be domain admins or else, as domain users they automatically sign out once they sign in. Why is that?

Can you help me?

Hello,

This issue has been fixed this morning, please apply our latest update to solve this.
Please download and install this update for TSPlus : tsplus.net/UpdateRelease.exe

Make sure no users are logged in before installing this update, you can check for remote users by launching a task manager and clicking on the users tab. Disabling your anti virus is also recommended.

A reboot will be required.

Hi,

When I download the update, the digital signature is 16 December 2014, but you fixed it on 17 December 2014? So is this the correct UpdateRelease.exe?

Best regards
Jeffrey

Hello,

Unless your browser is executing a previous update release patch from your temporary folder you should be fine :)
