Remote desktop session has been disconnected

Post by PaulJ » Fri Sep 07, 2018 4:48 pm

For the past 6 weeks our users have been reporting that they are getting randomly disconnected from our TSPlus servers while trying to watch training videos.
we have 3 servers using load balancing and running version 11.30.6.12 and this is happening on all servers no matter how many users are connected.
We used the windows client generator to create a remote desktop client and a RemoteAPP client but both have the same problem.
Are there any log files in TSPlus that would give us a clue to what is happening?
I've checked the windows event viewer and cannot find any issues at the time someone gets dropped off.
I've had a ping running from the site pc to each of the 3 servers to see if there is a latency problem.
All 3 servers were pinging normally until the "disconnect" happened.
the server the site connected to had 4 pings in a row show "general failure" and then went back to normal.
The other 2 only had a single ping drop and it was just 'destination unreachable" then back to normal.
We've tried replacing pc's and still have the same issue.
Thank you.

Hello,

Streaming video through a TSplus session is not ideal as it consumes a lot of bandwidth, which may explain why you are getting session disconnections. Maybe adding more network card to your servers can solve this issue. I noticed that you are using version 11.30, I recommend you to update all of your servers to latest release as we fixed many performances issues during the last 2 weeks.
