Microsoft Desktop flashes up breifly before loading app

Hi

When loading an allocated app for a user their normal Microsoft Desktop flashes up before switching to their application, anyone know a solution?

This issue is related to the use of the remote app connection client. To reduce this behavior, you need to reduce the visual effects on your server.

This server is windows 2012 R2 and visually its standard, do you mean choose a more basic windows theme?

right click on my computer and click on advanced system settings, then select the advanced tab. click on performance "settings" and select "Adjust for best performance.

Thanks this is already set by default not sure if this newer feature (DEP) Data execution Prevention would be best turned off.

Appears this may be an RDP bug on Windows 2012 R2, using Remote App client seems to resolve this.

I'm getting this on Windows 7 Pro using the Seamless client option. I see the welcome screen, then a brief glimpse of the server desktop, and then a ghosted start button, which I can click and run anything remotely, which is not desired.

Full desktop is not published. Themes disabled. Everything turned off in visual effects.
