Problem on viewing images using "FloatingPanel"

Post by cesare » Thu Nov 10, 2016 10:16 am

Hello

I ask if possible for a suggestion for our customer who is having problem on opening images, using TsPlus (9.50.10.9 served by a Windows 10 version 1607 (14393.351)).

If user is set on TsPlus admin to use Microsoft Remote Desktop, if he tries to open one PNG or JPG it is perfectly opened by standard system application FOTO (see screenshot with application running).
If he tries to open one TIFF it is perfectly opened by standard system application FOTO VIEWER application (see screenshot with application running).

Instead if user is set on TsPlus admin to use "FloatingPanel" it is NOT opened any application and he get stucked with a system error of timeout.

We have to set all users as "FloatingPanel".

Are we wrong with some setting on TsPlus admin side ?

Do you suggest anything ?

Do you suggest to setup some different FOTO viewer (in this case which one ?) and not standard system application as photo viewer ?

Do you suggest to pubblish in the "FloatingPanel" some application to view photo (what path in this case ?)

If it can be useful we have no problem on opening PDF file, also using "FloatingPanel": for this we use Sumatra PDF (but we have not pubblished this application on TsPlus admin)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Bye.

Have you tried to add those file types to the list of "File Types to open on user side" list? PDF is there by default.

Thanks for the reply.

You mean adding JPG, PNG, TIF (etc..) on this TsPlus admin setting ?

I have not done.

But sorry, forgot to mention, we are not using Client generator, we are using only HTML5 browser to access TsPlus server.

I have to add images extensions here ?

See screenshot please.

Thanks again for the suggestion.

Bye.

Yes, that is what I would try first.

To clarify, you want your clients to use HTML5 to log in and get the floating panel in that session?

Hello

thanks for the reply: I confirm that we use TsPlus only by logging using HTML5 browser and all users use "FloatingPanel".

Let me summarize quickly the above problem.

If user is set to use Microsoft Remote Desktop (see in my screenshot Option A) he can in his HTML5 session open PNG or JPG or TIF.

But if user is set to use "FloatingPanel" (see in my screenshot Option B) he CANNOT in his HTML5 session open PNG or JPG or TIF.

Have I to use some other PHOTO viewer other than standard system application ?

Or ... ?

Thanks again.

Hello

I have solved (seems, hope to be a persistent solution) this problem by installing one external Image Viewer.

Now if user is set on TsPlus Amin to use "Microsoft Remote Desktop" or "FloatingPanel" he can open PNG or JPG or TIF in its session (before on FloatingPanel images was not opened).
