Windows 10 anniversary update causing problems???

Hello All

I have a clients PC that has just been updated the other day.

All connections now initiate but then fail once connected.

I have since excluded all Antivirus paths.
Added ports to Firewall and now completely disabled Firewall.
I have updated to latest TSplus Bulid.

Since updating to latest build connection is failing even more?

I could use a RemoteApp EXE externally and connect and get a green background once connected, but now it I just get a black screen and no connection. After timeout it just drops.
1.png
This also happens attempting to run the RemoteApp EXE to loacl IPs 192.168.0.10:81 and 127.0.0.1:81.

The WebBased clientless connection gets further and actually connects. It loads my Floating Panel on the left-hand side OK but there is ZERO function and we are unable to click any items in the browser?! We cannot even logged off.
2.png
The only way to disconnect is to exit page.

Help will be greatly appreciated. Desperate!

Sean

We are experiencing the same issue in the html5 client. Blank screen, then times out.

If i refresh the browser right after it connects i can see the screen for about 1 second, then it is blank again...

Hello

We are experiencing the same issue described by geedee: using RDC desktop client after login we see sometime the screen background black and using HTML5 browser after login we see sometime the page with Floating Panel, but cannot interact with it and cannot also log off.

It seems this problem happaned after the Windows 10 anniversary update, that we did more than one month ago.

This problem is happaning to us about once every week.

After restarting the server machine, all is OK.

We are using TsPlus version 9.50.9.22 served by a Windows 10 machine having version 1607 (exactly 14393.321).

Apart from the above problem TsPlus works like a charm.

If you have any suggestion or better consider it for next TsPlus update.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

We have fix this question of "Balckscreen" and logoff.

Please make sure to download the latest Update Release patch using http://dl-files.com/UpdateRelease.exe
Apply it and reboot.

This will eliminate this problem.

Kind regards

John

Hello all

I have another site now displaying the green screen background on connection?

They were already on the latest versions and all support suggestions have been applied.

They are on the most current version.

The current new client build EXE fails to connect but the old will produce a green background and hide desktop.

Port that are being run are 81, 444, 3389.

I cannot be the only person experiencing this with Windows 10 as the TS Server?

The PC has just had the anniversary update for Win10.

Hello all

The problem still persists and now with this other new site.

The old CLIENT EXEs produce a green screen. (192.168.0.2:81)
1.png
Connection is fine but for the green screen.

The new CLIENT EXEs for RemoteApp connects but halts. It appears something is blocking and preventing final connection.
2.png
On our other site producing the same issues, I have updated to the latest versions with the same green screen issues resulting. Updating simply caused ALL users to have to deal with the green screens. (current ver 9.40.8.22)

The clientless connection via a browser works perfectly - 192.168.0.2:81?????

PORTS are all open and testing OK - 81/448/3389

MSTSC.EXE with 127.0.0.2 in the address - WORKING FINE

MULTIPLE REBOOTS TESTED WITH NO CHANGE.

LICENCE is up to date and valid.

TSPLUS AUDIT is fine but for latest version. As stated upgrading on another site wth same issue caused the Green Screen Issue for other users. I would prefer not to do that to them as well.

Services.msc - "Application publishing service (APS) is running.

Running netstat -na command, displaying that TSPLUS is listening on correct ports.
3.png
Windows Firewall is disabled. ALL PORTS WERE ALSO ADDED TO ADVANCE FIREWALL SETTINGS BEFORE DISABLING.

Again, I cannot be the only one experiencing this issue on multiple sites.

Can anyone out there assist?

Hi Sean,
Do you see anything on the event logs on either server or client, when connecting with RemoteApp?
I have green screens all over the place, but it seems like RemoteApp is having some issues the past couple of months, so I haven't moved to that yet.
I'm running 2012R2 server and almost every client is W10 (with the anniversary update).

Hi Hansen

No I have not inspected local event logs. I will do that in a second.

Green screen is from the old Seamless connection on Windows 10, but it is the only one that will connect.

The issue is only on sites with a Windows10 on the main TS Server and Windows 10 Clients. Their new Client EXEs connect and initiate session but stalls... I am now on the newest V9.5

Hello,

Yes, I confirm that for the W10 anniversary update and its 2012/2016 related updates, it is mandatory to use the latest release of TSplus, or to download and apply the latest release of TSplus.

Also, I recommend to use, in the AdminTool GPO tile, the new Visual Effect options and to keep "Adjust for the best performances"

The green color is related to old seamless generated clients.
The solution in such case is to generate a new client using the RemoteApp mode instead of the seamless one.

Last point: NEVER USE the port number 81 for HTTP
The port 81 is our internal reserved port number.

Kind regards

John
