I have a mac and a pc both with printers enabled in the rdp client settings. When they connect the printers do not install as (redirected xxxx)
This is on a Server 2012 Standard OS with active directory installed.
How do I fix this?
Redirected printing not working
Re: Redirected printing not working
Have you installed the printer drivers on the server for the specific client architecture? You can't rely on the Easy Print Driver.

Re: Redirected printing not working
I downloaded 2012 server versions of the printer drivers and installed those but still no luck. I got the HP printers to work but not the Toshiba e-studio 2330c printer. I need the Toshiba to work on a mac 10.10
Re: Redirected printing not working
You need to install the client drivers on the server, that's how the server is able to communicate with the printer.
Otherwise use the Universal Printer in TSplus to push a PDF file to the client. I have no idea how you're going to get this to work with a Mac - we use Mac as well, but they're connected through the HTML5 client.

Re: Redirected printing not working
Hello,
Printer redirection is not supported by all printers / client such as mac, this is why I recommend using the Universal / Virtual printer for this purpose. One other method is the use of Google CloudPrint for this purpose : https://www.google.com/cloudprint/
