Orphaned RDP Connection wirh Network Loss

Using v9.20.3.3
I use a client RDP access to my server but periodically the client PC drops the network. After re-starting the client network, I get another new RDP session, leaving the original session still active.

If I have files opened the new session won't let me in saying the files are locked by another user.

Looking in Session Manager, I see the two connections but don't know how to "kill" the first one. My only solution has been is to reboot the service. Of course any unsaved work is lost.

Is there a way to kill a connection or is there a better way of handling this?

Thanks,
Bob

Hello,

An issue with TSplus generating zombie session was identified and solved at the beginning of March, so possibly updating or reinstalling TSplus will solve this issue.

Another point to check is the way disconnected sessions are handled.

In the AdminTool, click on the Server tile and click on "Group Policies (GPO)"
Check the "Allow users reconnection when sessions are disconnected."
You can also set up a timeout for disconnected sessions which will cause a disconnected user session to automatically logoff after a while.
If you want your disconnected sessions to terminate quickly, type in 0.5 for 30 sec.
