Virtual Printer -- Windows Only?

Does anyone know if they new virtual printer is windows only? I cannot get it to work on Macbook with Safari, nor iPad with Safari.

Either way, if a user has a preference of the Universal Printer, how can we change it so their default is always the universal? Not ALL users, just say user1.

So example.

user1 logs in, gets Universal printer
User2, User3, user4, etc. still get their default printer of virtual printer.
User3 does not like virtual printer either... they change it to Universal Printer. After they log off, and then log back on, it's forced back to the virtual printer. Anyway to make just user3 stay Universal Printer if they choose?

Is this possible? Hope my explanation makes sense

It depends on what functionality you expect, the print menu popup is PDF plugin related support only, when browsers PDF plugin does not support it, than you get nothing, it is also not supported by Safari so far I know. (the pdf stays in hidden frame)
To workaround it you have to choose Virtual Printer with Preview (where I do not hide the frame) so at least you get it on Safari, or use another browser, as example FireFox/Chrome on Mac support pdf print menu feature.

Here is something I did not check, but assume, it should work.
Locate webserver\printer.bin file
You will find there somethinbg like
PRINTERS=PS:%PRINTMENU%MS Publisher Imagesetter%Virtual Printer with Preview %;PS:%DEFAULT%%PRINTHIDE%MS Publisher Imagesetter%Virtual Printer%;PS:%PRINTMARK%MS Publisher Imagesetter%Virtual Printer Edge%;
just remove %DEFAULT% and so no one will be set as default.
PRINTERS=PS:%PRINTMENU%MS Publisher Imagesetter%Virtual Printer with Preview %;PS:%PRINTHIDE%MS Publisher Imagesetter%Virtual Printer%;PS:%PRINTMARK%MS Publisher Imagesetter%Virtual Printer Edge%;
Highly in your printer.bin is not yet present this printer
PS:%PRINTMARK%MS Publisher Imagesetter%Virtual Printer Edge%;
It replicates behaviour of Universal Printer, it will also start as new popup too.

Well, but back to "default", after making these changes RESTART HTML5 server in GUI to reparse printer.bin and take changes effect.
From now on these printers will not be set to "default", so the rest is yours.
