Is anyone else having issues where it seems like the 'windows' key is stuck? Numerous users have been calling recently saying they can not use the keys L,P and U. I found that if I have them press the windows key on their keyboards a few times, those keys will start functioning again. I have had this happen on many different types of laptops and desktop PC's. I have not seen it on any tablets as of yet. Any idea's?? Is there a way to disable the windows key so that if it gets pressed, it's just ignored?

Hi Brian,
Yes, I have only seen this problem on my MacBook Air with the Safari/FF/Chrome browsers.
Solution on my MacBook Air:
- In Safari or Chrome, press the "Cmd" key one time.
- In Firefox, press the "Ctrl" key one time.
After that, the Windows key is behaving normal.
I have discovered that this issue occurs (on my MacBook Air) when you close the browser with Cmd+Q, while a HTML5 session was running. After you come back in the HTML5 session, very often the Windows key is stuck.
This problem also occurs in Chrome when you press Cmd+P (print).
Best regards
Jeffrey

Hello Brian,
I tried to reproduce it ony my windows laptop with firefox and saw it normal behaving.
Can you please describe exactly, how to reproduce this bug step by step?
What browser, system etc.
When I call by me the windows key it calls by me windows menu as expected...
As Jeffrey described, some keys are not preventable with their default behaviors (browser internal issues) so some browsers do not forward unpressing events and rdp session believes the key is still pressed.. But that happens only with CTRL or sometimes with ALT + some key, however I try to clean and restore states, when I recognize, these keys are not pressed according to modifiers, but it is not always possible to check when no key event available, for best of course to press ctrl key one more time just to clear state..
You can see with osk.exe (present in every windows system) what keys are actually pressed if such bug occurs..
