Print Dialog Instead of PDF Viewer is Displayed

Hi

I have a customer with a pdf viewer installed. However, when they print reports using the Portable Client a print dialog is displayed instead of the PDF viewer. The Portable is setup to use the PDF viewer and they are selecting the Universal Printer. After the report is printed the screen says please wait. Once the message goes away they have to minimize the Portable Client screen and then they see the Print dialog box. What I do not understand is when I try their portable client from my computer I see a pdf file in my pdf viewer. Other customer using the same application on the same server do not have this issue. I previously had a 2nd customer with this problem and they simply uninstalled their printers and re-installed them and then everything worked fine. However, we have done this with the current customer but the problem persists. Does anyone have any ideas as the possible cause and solution?

Thanks,
Simon

Hello,

This issue may occur if you had a connection client from an older release installed on this computer before. To clean your client cache, use this procedure and connect again : tsplus.net/support/kb/faq.php?id=23

HI

That fixed the problem on one of the workstations. However, I still have another workstation where this did not help. They are both Windows 7 64bit. Secondly I never go the dialog box that warned of removing all the local parameters. The program just ran silently (I assume it ran but I did not see anything happen).

Hi

After further discussion with the client I discovered that they did not use proper command line switch. They used "/Clear" when it should have been "/clean". Now everything is working correctly.
