Please note that a recent security update from MS (Oct 2014) KB2984972 will kill concurrent RDP sessions.

Fix is to remove KB2984972 and reboot.

And remember to turn off automatic updates.

Regards

Hello,

Microsoft has releases an incompatible Windows Update recently, resulting in connection issues. The two KB responsible for this are KB2984972 and KB 3000061.

Please download and install dl-files.com/CompatibilityUpdate.exe
You will need to reboot your server.

The Setup and Update Release programs has also been updated to support this latest change.

KB2984972 is a update only for Windows 7 and windows 2008 R2 servers. The KB29284972 update is not on our Windows 2012 servers pending updates lisr. We manually do windows updates monthly and noticed that KB3000061 update is on our pending list.
What is TSPlus current recommended course of action for those who have not yet applied these windows updates?
Do we apply the TSplus patch first then apply windows updates or apply windows update first then apply Tsplus patch? Should we not apply KB3000061? This windows patch is a security patch. Is there a 7.70 version that is compatible to these windows changes? I would prefer to upgrade my TSPlus to a compatible version before applying the windows updates.
Thanks
Rob

Hello,

Unfortunately, we cannot predict which Windows Update will be or will not be compatible with TSplus. This is why I recommend to do manual updates on the server and only if necessary to prevent this issue from happening again.
The last time such events occurred was for major service pack released for Windows so this should remain a rare event.

We follow this FAQ, so we were lucky today:

But some of our customers didn't and their system broke for a while.

Hello,

On my Win7 (64) server, my users had a connection error today. 'A user is already connected, if you continue he will be disconnected"
I saw a windows update last night with about ten KB and a framework update. I made a system backup and it fixs it.

But, do you plan to patch Tsplus to keep ours system updated?

Thanks
