Access Databases

Hello TSPlus's,

we got some problems with Access 2010 Databases and we suppose it has something to do with TSPlus.

The Database was split up in Frontend and two backend databases and everything worked until we installed TSPlus on Windows 2012 Essential Server to allow members to work with the Database as remote users from home. Till then the database sometimes crashes (nearly every day) with the effect that it is destroyed and we have to restore it from backup. Only the Frontend crashes, the backend databases are always OK. It seems to happen when the database ist closed and the user quits the remote session.

Does anyone have an idea why this happens? Is it possible, that TSPlus kills the Applikation on close even if its running or has not finished unloading? Every anser helps.

TSPlus latest version is installed. Windows ist up to date with all service packs. All Office Updates are installed.

Thanks a lot.

Rainer

Hello,

TSplus can end disconnected session after a 5mn delay by default. To prevent this behavior you can configure TSplus to keep all session alive until users safely logoff their remote sessions themselves.

To do so, open an admin tool and click on the server tile, then open GPO group policy and type in 0 in the terminate any disconnected session.

Hallo Admin,
Thanks for your quick reply.

all settings are as expected. Timeouts show never and only "automatic reconnection" is marked. I expect, that it is not an automatic disconnection that causes the problem. But what happens when the user closes the connection and the database is still running. Will TSPlus kill the application when there is no other user logged in? If the dashboard of Windows is open, the user cannot see if there is an application running and then he uses the logout function.

Thanks for the reply.

Hello,

Yes as you mentioned all running processes of the user session are closed when the user logs off, maybe that's the problem ?
