Chrome Bug

Post by bbogedin » Tue Jan 22, 2013 11:35 pm

After installing TSPlus, my browser of choice Chrome -has a continuous error saying running in sand box.

Also it will never show full screen and I have to click on the icon twice from the task bar.

Also I noted in the Program Files folder for Chrome it has two exes chrome and chrome1. Chrome1 was the default exe you renamed but it shows only grey windows when launched no matter the window?

What in particular does TSPLUS do to Chrome?

Hello,

for unknown reason Chrome is the only browser that is not compatible with TSplus on server side only. Disabling the sandbox mode correct this issue. You can also download and install this patch : http://tsplus.net/chromepatch.exe

What does the patch do exactly?

Disable Sandbox Mode?

When you use this option Google Chrome puts an error line on top of the browser
saying that the stability and security is tampered.

How can we disable this message ?

We found TSplus not stable if used with Windows 2012 (flickering screen)
Now we can not use it with Google chrome on a windows 2008R2 server.

I am loosing my confidence in this product !

Hi Jan

TSplus has released a fix for the flickering problems under Windows 2012 and Windows 8.x, see here:
http://tsplus.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3137#p4002

Well, we ARE very confident with TSplus. Their support is the best I've ever seen. We had some issues and wishes and they fixed everything very well and quickly.

Best regards
Jeffrey

I am not so convinced about this superb support.
I send an e-mail concerning this problem but got the answer that there was no problem.
They gave me al sorts of solutions for this 'only on our systems' problem.
None of them helped a single bit.
I opened a case on the board but never got a response.

And now this non exciting bug is suddenly solved.

We reported the bug in august.
In the meanwhile we searched for so many hours and finaly downgraded several already active Windows 2012 systems to windows 2008R2 to get rid of the problem.
It took us several days of unpayed work and a lot of frustration for our clients.

And now it seems they where working on a solution meanwhile !

A very poor strategy !

Hello,

I am very surprised to read this. This patch is the result of a lot of research and hard work as it was not easy to diagnose and reproduce.
Anyway if you need to have a quick response to your support questions I recommend you to use our online ticket system which is more reliable than email because obviously yours may have ended up in junk mail.

Well, you have to blame Microsoft and not TSplus!
MS changed (broke) some stuff in W2012/W8.x which worked fine in previous Windows versions.
So instead of complaining, be happy that the guys of TSplus have made a fix for this!
Not so easy as you might think.

Just my 2c.

Best regards

We solved this issue by adding the following parameters to the Chrome shortcut

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --allow-no-sandbox-job --disable-gpu

We found the solution here >> lost-it.org/drupal/?q=node/1033
