We need urgent assistance. All our TSplus servers running Windows Server 2012 R2 suddenly stopped accepting RDP/TSplus logins this morning.
Servers on Windows Server 2016 and 2019 work normally.
Problem:
Users get this error when trying to log in:
“The Local Session Manager service failed the sign-in. The number of connections to this computer is limited and all connections are in use.”
At the same time, Windows Update attempted to install updates on the 2012 R2 servers and failed. After that, TSplus/RDP sessions stopped working.
In Event Viewer we see repeated errors related to UmRdpService and Service Control Manager (Event ID 7011).
What we tried:
Restarted affected servers
Checked TSplus services
Checked RDP services (TermService, UmRdpService)
The issue happens only on Windows Server 2012 R2, on all machines at the same time.
Please advise urgently on how to resolve this.
