TSplus access gone after running gotomycp

Post by drdarell@comcast.net » Mon Apr 02, 2018 8:55 pm

I have a windows 10 PC for my business, we used gotomypc so my partner could access the company books. Now we are installing an Access Data Base that 4 of us will use. I found TSplus and it seemed to work great, I purchased the web version as we all used HTML5 for access with a web browser and it was easy and worked.

However, we lost the view to 2 lines or rows, one used to enter data and the other had different tabs you could view. This only happened on a laptop PC, a Macbook Pro tablet or any cell phone... everything looks great on a normal computer screen.

Trying figure out where this problem is, I used my laptop and logged into the machine with Gotomypc and it worked and my missing lines were back! I tried it a few times, but I did have an issue getting back in after I ended my first session. I had to reboot the Windows 10 machine before I could access it again. Again the screen looked fine, but when I canceled my session the screen on the Windows 10 machine stayed black (background) like someone was still in it. I had to log out and log back in to get the screen back.

I went to double check TSplus and I could no longer access the machine. I'm right next to it so I just put in the LAN IP address into my browser and the TSplus screen pops up (normally), now it just times out like the TSplus server is not running at all.

Tried from outside of the network and got the same results. I'm sure gotomyPC is stepping on something, but not sure what to look at. I found another issue and I checked the webserver service and that was running, I stopped and started it with no issues.

Any Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I couldn't get any good information from Gotomypc, so I ended up deinstalling Gotomypc, that didn't help, I went through an upgrade to TSplus, no help. I was going to deinstall and reinstall TSPlus, but I decided to use Windows System Restore to go back to an earlier time before I ran Gotomypc. This put the OS back to where it was before and everything worked... So I once again deinstalled GotomyPC and so far so good.
