SSL Cert RDP

Post by MichaelH » Tue Mar 13, 2018 12:21 pm

Hi

We purchase a Wildcard SSL cert from Comodo for all our servers, we have no issues forcing the TS Plus webservers into using this cert to force an encrypted SSL connection via HTTPS but we cannot apply this cert for TS Plus RDP connections. As the server is using TS Plus and not setup as a Windows host server we do not have the option to choose the cert to use for RDP. Also if we open a console windows for certifications an auto generated cert keeps appearing using our server name, does TS Plus auto generate these? Also whats the easiest way to use our cert for RDP authentification?

Thanks

Alan

Hello,

SSL HTTP webserver and RDP protocol are two different worlds, failure was also unavoidable by expected approach.
Following tutorial should help you

Thanks, i now through Microsoft remote desktop have a padlock at the top which confirms its a secure connection but through a TS Plus RDP user shortcut i still get the initial prompt of this publisher cannot be verified?

I thought the TS Plus RDP used the same RDP protocol as Microsoft so cannot fathom whilst i'm still getting this prompt?

Thanks

Alan
