Remote Desktop Connection protocol error

Hello,

I've created my Portable Client using the Portable Client Generator and when I tried to launch the application by double-clicking on the icon, I receive the following:

Because of a protocol error detected at the client (code 0x1104), this session will be diconnected. Please try connecting to the remote computer again.

I get this error when I copy the icon to the client machine and try to launch, but I also get it when I try and launch from the remote machine where the application resides.

This issue occur if you are trying to connect from an older version of Windows to a recent one.

What you can do is lower the authentication method of your server by using a GPO. Open a gpedit.msc on your TSplus server and locate the following GPO :

Computer configuration / Administrative templates / Windows components / Remote Desktop Service / Remote Desktop session host / Security / Set client encryption level

You can also update the RDP client version on your client computer.
