Disable client-side drive mapping other resources.

Post by adpetersky » Thu Jun 18, 2015 5:17 pm

I need the auto-generated session from the application portal to disable local client drive mapping including clipboard. If the user manually disables these on the security prompt when connecting it can be done. But i need this to be auto and preset. I cannot allow my remote clients to access their "own resources" other than printing. In Citrix and regular RDP this is an easy step, but i don't see how to do it on TSPLUS 8.30. I cannot rely on sending a customized RDP connection to each client generated from the provided client generator app. I need to be able to disable this by default for ALL users.

Help.

Hello,

These settings can be disabled by group policy, open a gpedit.msc on the server console and locate the following : Computer configuration / Administrative template / Windows Components / Remote desktop services / Remote desktop session host / peripheral redirection / Do not all allow clipboard redirection and Do not allow drive redirection.

These group policies can be set for all non admin users following this procedure : tsplus.net/support/kb/faq.php?id=19
