v8.20.4.15 problems
I updated to the latest version 8.20.4.15. First I had a problem during the upgrade which locked me out from remote access, so I had to have someone physically remove and reinstall.
Now I have remote access again with HTML5. I cannot access via Java or Windows - both start the login process, then lock up and finally timeout. Even if I continue after the timeout notice, the web page is still locked with the spinner frozen.
TS is located on a Win Server Essentials 2012
Client is Win 8.1 using Chrome browser
How to enable Java and Windows access?
Regards,
Rick

Hello,
You may need to clear your client browser cache by pressing ctrl + F5 and allow the plug in to run in your module settings.

Re: v8.20.4.15 problems
Thanks, but that did not help; indeed it is worse today.
When I log into HTML5, I get the normal initializing screens, but then just a black screen with only the drop-down file up/down load at the top. I am logging in a Server Admin, but there is no Windows desktop or other screen, just black. Moving the mouse to the upper right corner does not bring up the normal Windows panel and the Ctrl+? key combos do nothing except open the request on my local computer.
If I try to log into Java or Windows, I get a message about not able to find %systemdrive%\wsession\runwsession.ext...
The results are the same for Chrome and IE 11

Follow up... I remoted into another computer on the same network and sent a restart to the server. Now I have HTML5 access.
I've attached the error message for Java and Windows. I checked the c:\wsession folder on the server and there is no runwsession.exe.

Re: v8.20.4.15 problems
These issues seem to be from not have the correct application settings for users. Some can be simply re-configured in the menu (usually opening the assign apps to users window), some need a clean install. Have you tried a clean install? It sucks, but it worked for me when the update broke our server here. You have a cert and config backup right?
Uninstall TS (through their admin tool)
Reboot
Install latest FULL version.
Install your cert
Re-program applications, web gateway, etc from scratch.
I've had to do it twice now on updates.

Re: v8.20.4.15 problems
I reported a similar problem yesterday with the Web Client and the screen going black. It is two threads down from this one. I too had problems with the upgrade. I also got the same response from support to clear the browser cache.
I have heard elsewhere that it is a problem with the upgrade. I totally agree. I replied to support that I thought it odd that all 10 clients would all of a sudden need their browser cache cleared.
There is a problem with 8.20.4.15 but, as it typical, support isn't owning up to it. They need to be straight with their users. I make image backups of the server. I restored the server prior to the 8.20.4.15 update. Fixed the issue hands down.
Come on support. Let's get real......

Hello,
TSPlusSMD, your issues are specific to your environment and what is happening to you is not happening to the entire world. So far we were not able to reproduce this issue some people are experiencing with web client connection. The more information you can provide us the more efficient we will be to help you with this.
As Dustin mentioned earlier, you can also try to uninstall / reinstall TSplus using this procedure :
Your server settings can be saved using the backup / restore settings located in the server tile of the admin tool before uninstalling TSplus. Click on locate "Backup your server parameters". everything is saved in a newly created folder C:\Backupparam
You can now uninstall and reinstall TSplus on this server, and click on "Restore your server parameters" to restore everything.
1- Make sure no users are connected, then uninstall TSplus, reboot your computer.
3- make sure no TSplus folder remains in C:\Program Files (x86)\ and no C:\wsession, if so delete it.
2- Download and install the latest setup : dl-files.com/Setup-TSplus.exe
3- Apply your license again, your server should be fine.
I recommended you also to deactivate your antivirus before installing TSPlus.
If your antivirus is too intrusive you can set an exclusion rule on the following path : C:\Program Files (86)\TSPlus and C:\wsession

Re: v8.20.4.15 problems
An update regarding this for Chrome users. Since the 15th of April, Chrome has released a new version 42 of its browser which blocks the execution of Java plugins.
Below the explanation and solution provided by Chrome :
NPAPI support by Chrome
The Java plug-in for web browsers relies on the cross platform plugin architecture NPAPI, which has long been, and currently is, supported by all major web browsers. Google announced in September 2013 plans to remove NPAPI support from Chrome by "the end of 2014", thus effectively dropping support for Silverlight, Java, Facebook Video and other similar NPAPI based plugins. Recently, Google has revised their plans and now state that they plan to completely remove NPAPI by late 2015. As it is unclear if these dates will be further extended or not, we strongly recommend Java users consider alternatives to Chrome as soon as possible. Instead, we recommend Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari as longer-term options. As of April 2015, starting with Chrome Version 42, Google has added an additional step to configuring NPAPI based plugins like Java to run — see the section Enabling NPAPI in Chrome Version 42 and later below.
Solution :
Enabling NPAPI in Chrome Version 42 and later
As of Chrome Version 42, an additional configuration step is required to continue using NPAPI plugins.
In your URL bar, enter:
chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.
Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.
Developers and System administrators looking for alternative ways to support users of Chrome should see this blog, in particular "Running Web Start applications outside of a browser" and "Additional Deployment Options" section.
