Web credentials not working

Post by proware » Wed Mar 04, 2015 5:12 am

I have created a set of web credentials.

A user name 1234 and no password. I have assigned these credentials to a valid windows login user and password (password field does not have a mask on it, very bad).

I have published a webmaster toolkit HTML page and it comes up OK.

However, whenever I log in, it either puts a red corss next to the login name when I type 1234 or ther eis no cross at all. Either way I can not progress.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hello,

The red cross will appear if you checked the "Generate a gateway portal page", meaning that you will have to assign this server to your users in the gateway tab. Uncheck the "Generate a gateway portal page", publish the web page and try again.
We did not set a mask on the password field only in the webmaster toolkit for easier configuration, however this mask is present on the connection webpage.

If you still experience trouble to connect from you client computer, make sure you did not forget to fill in the domain name (somehow typing in the hostname of your TSplus server is required, this is dependant of the operating system on which TSplus is installed) and clearing the browser cache on client side ( ctrl + F5) may help too.

After a lot of frigging about, I took the server off the network and then put it back on the network and magically it started working.
Go figure!
