Hello,

A new version of TSplus is available.

This is our comment for this new version:

Enhanced Start menu:
The TSplus START menu now includes 5 entries

- AdminTool
- Client Generator
- Uninstall TSplus
- User Guide
- Universal Printer: Setup
- Universal Printer: Remove

Universal Printer:
The Universal Printer is no more installed during the Setup, or during the Update.
If the Universal Printer driver is not installed, when the administrator starts the AdminTool, he will see a message box proposing him to install it.
As result, the Setup is faster.
The Universal Printer can also be installed by the administrator using the new START menu entry.

Also, the AdminTool license tab is now displaying if the Universal Printer is installed and if it is a release 10, or a old release 9 driver.

Please keep in mind that the new Universal Printer driver cannot be installed on old 2003/XP system.
For these old systems, it is requested to use http://dl-files.com/Setup-UniversalPrinter.exe

Logon process:
The logon process has been deeply audited to provide the best performances and the most predictable behavior regardless the client kind (mstsc, RemoteApp, HTML5, Seamless client) or the kind of started application (Full Desktop, one single application, TSplus Taskbar, Floating Panel or Web Application Portal).

Logon name with special character:
The support of logon names with special characters like "ü" has been added

Client Generator:
The generated client has been changed to be compatible with older releases and to be able to print with old and new Universal Printer installed on the server side.
The generated client had files not properly installed and it is fixed now.

Print Preview:
The print preview has been changed: If the user has a PDF viewer like Acrobat, the preview will use it. If the user does not have any PDF view, TSplus client will automatically use Sumatra as fallback.

We changes the release number to 10.30 for customer support purposes. For any customer is using the release 10.10, or 10.20 and is having an issue, the solution will be to advise him to apply the Update Release patch and to reboot.

One last comment: This 10.30 release is the first one for which we have use our new Automatic Validation toolkit.
We are pleased to confirm that the 10.30 release has successfully pass 25 validation test cases.

A new version of TSplus is now available. This is version 10.30.5.6

This is our comment for this new version:

After a long week-end, and the election of a new President of France, I am please to upload an update of the release 10.30.

Thanks to Alan, from Taiwan.
He gave us access to an "extreme" test case:

- Chinese system

- A very low speed network between Paris and Taipei

- A slow server

This was the perfect test environment to reproduce possible issues.

As result we did change the following points:

Client Generator:
As you know we are using the clipboard to communicate between the client side and the server side.
On very low communication line, we was clearing the clipboard too fast.
It is fixed now.

When several connection client was running on the same PC, it was useless to have 2 copies of the same program running after the PDF prints.
It is fixed now.

The code was waiting the user to close his Acrobat prior to open the next print.
As result, the user can "feel" that the print is not arrived.
Wrong feeling. However, it is fixed now. Now each prints will be open as soon as ready on the user local disk.

If for any raison, the generated client cannot behave as expected, the connection client detects that one PDF has not been printed and it propose the user to try to open it in Preview.

On the server side:

In order to be able to copy the PDF files, we need to know where is the destination folder on the user side.
To do so we are using the clipboard. However the information is also available in the file name "clientenvironment.ini"
which uploaded when the session is opening. To avoid cases where the content of the clipboard was corrupted by a slow communication, we double check the information with clientenvironment.ini content.

We also added some more delay for the print jobs to be completed.

When a user was doing double clicks on one application (Notepad for exemple)
it was starting two sessions with two application
It is fixed now


The Floating Panel, when assign to a user in the Web Application Portal
was not displaying the applications.
It is fixed now

A new version of TSplus is available now. Release version is : 10.30.5.14

This is our comment for this new version:

Universal Printer:

The new Universal Printer driver was detected by some Anti-virus (like AVG) as a risk.
Of cause it was a False/Positive annoyance.
It has been re-written to eliminate this problem.

The new Universal Printer driver is now automatically set with the server printer page format (A4 or Letter). The user can change this format when printing using Universal Printer --> Properties --> Advanced This user preference choice is saved for the next sessions.

The new Universal Printer driver is handling correctly narrow margins, and even no margin at all.

When a print is started, the print job waits until the PDF file is fully created prior to copy it to the client side. This is an important fix. Before, on loaded servers, or for large prints, the copy was processed too early.

AdminTool:

If the new Universal Printer is not install, the AdminTool is asking the administrator to install it.
We also added in the Session Preference tile one button to re-install the Universal Printer Driver.
This can be useful for support.

Two new patches:

We removed from dl-files.com the old SetupUniversalPrinter.exe patch.
We replaced it by the 2 following programs:

This program is processing the uninstall the new and the old Universal Printer driver prior to install the old Universal Printer driver (V1). Doing it, it warrants the result: the old driver will be correctly installed.

This program is processing the uninstall the new and the old Universal Printer driver prior to install the latest Universal Printer driver (V2). Doing it, it warrants the result: the new driver will be correctly installed.

Start Button:

Start button display and/or Taskbar display when one single application was published. We did fix this issue. Now, when a single application or the Floating Panel is published, the user does not see anymore the Windows Start button.

A new version of TSplus is now available. This is version 10.30.5.21

This is our comment for this new version:

- More improvements of the logon process

- Fix of the new Universal Printer narrow margin question

- The command lines for applications published with the Web Application Portal are now supported.

HTML5:

1. Added support of multi-domain certificates for serving as SNI.
That was required by one guy who wanted to serve multiple certificates but one certificate was additionally for multiple domains.
So by calling
https ://****.my-multidomain .com/
https ://my-multidomain .com/
https ://xyz.my-multidomain .com/
as certificate will be served only one file \webserver\multicerts\.my-multidomain.com.jks
also the leading point of cert file tells it is for multiple domains.
But still full match certificate is prefered if any existing.

2. To improve security by hot reconfiguration calls to avoid that someone else changes it without allowance I added additional pass check if required, since by default it is empty.
To set pass call from browser
http://127.0.0.1/w0j3?dummy.bin@newconf ... mypassword
from now on any hot reconfiguration would require passing of pass as example http://127.0.0.1/w0j3?printer.bin@configpass=mypassword
or
http://127.0.0.1/w0j3?cert.jks@configpass=mypassword
etc..

3. Few peoples required SSLv3 due usage of IE6-7, on Java8 and higher it is disabled by default, to overcome that I still allow it by setting.
webserver\settings.bin > ie6_ssl_workaround=true The nice side effect, it is limited only to IE6-7, so I still successfully pass SSL Labs check while at same time supporting IE6-7 with SSL.
But by default SSLv3 stays anyway disabled, so support must be extra activated by this setting.

- We have improved the name of the print files created by the Universal Printer.
Before it was a long one like: 1234_file-name_-_print0004.pdf
Now it is nice: file-name-01.pdf
Also, this enhancement was causing an issue when using LibreOffice
It is fixed now
