Is it possible to install duplicate universal printers?

I have a weird combo issue running Quickbooks Premier 2015 on Win2k12r2 where, when running TSPlus in lieu of conventional terminal services/rdp, printer settings saved within the Quickbooks software that user x makes in Quickbooks are affecting users y and z and vice versa. This is particularly annoying when users at 2 different offices are trying to print checks out on their respective, different model printers that require specific alignment settings inside Quickbooks. When one user changes the alignment settings (which are manual adjustments to the printing output from within Quickbooks and as such isn't saved as a preference within the printer itself) it's changing it for all of our users.
Through experimentation I have figured out that despite this quirky undesirable interaction, if I had the option to have 2 or more printers installed at once as 'locally' installed printers on the server itself, Quickbooks allows for saving non-overlapping settings x for printer x and then perhaps different settings y for printer y. I could then pick a default Windows printer for each user under his/her account and it should accomplish the user preferences isolation that Quickbooks Premier + TSPlus doesn't natively offer.
What I'd like to do is install multiples of the 'universal printer' and rename them if at all possible so that users picking from available printers within Quickbooks accessed within a TSPlus remote session. If that's possible to do (while still otherwise retaining the universal printer's usual functionality as a passthrough printer 'conduit' for remotely connected users) that would be awesome.
Any and all input, advice, or suggestions anyone might have is *greatly* appreciated!
