Bandwidth Problem

Post by Fireball » Wed Mar 04, 2015 4:24 pm

I have installed TSplus printer edition at 2 sites to run an application from the cloud. At the first site it works perfectly but at the second there is a lag when typing and the user types way ahead of the display.
The internet download speed at the first site is 8 to 15 Mbps and for the second is only 3 or less Mbps. If I only use an RDP connection at the second site there is no lag and the user can work fine. I would like to use TSplus because for security reasons I would like to give access to only published applications. I installed the setup-TSplus application on all computers and then created clients. Is there a way to create a client that uses less resources ? Does the Web client version work better for this type of environment? I am new to TSplus and would appreciate any thoughts. Thank you. :?:

Hello,

Adding more security means using more bandwidth. For example if you our secured connection web client with SSH tunneling all communication will be encrypted from the client to the server therefore it will use more bandwidth. Same rule apply if you use a VPN.

The main rules to use as little bandwidth are as follow :

- color settings of the client : use 15 bits clients as it shows good performance.
- Do not redirect too many devices such as printers, prefer the use of the Universal Printer for remote printing.
- On server side : disable aero theme and prefer the use of windows classic theme, preventing the display of any graphic animation such as gif or flash and sounds will also reduce the bandwidth used.
