Windows 2011 server compatibility ?

Post by Steve » Tue Oct 02, 2012 10:43 am

Hi,

I have recently installed a SBS 2011 server. I have 5 users at any given time that need to use remote desktop over their vpn. All users are running either xp or win 7 and the server is sbs 2011 essentials. As you probably know MS only allows 2 remote desktop sessions at a time. Is this the product I am needing to fix my problem?

Regards,
Steve

Hello,

Yes, with TSplus installed on your SBS, you will be able to connect 5 or 10 concurrent users (and much more in fact).

Kind regards

Can you send me information on how to implement this. I would like to install the free trial this weekend and make sure it is going to do what we need.

Hello,

Simple:

1) It you have any MS update to install, do it before the TSPlus installation and reboot.
2) Download tsplus.net/Setup-TSplus-V5-2012.exe
3) Install TSPlus:
During the installation you can change the TSPlus web server port numbers
On SBS, I recommend to use 8080 and 4430 to avoid a conflict with IIS port numbers
3) Reboot

That's all

Kind regards
