Hi there
I've been using TSPlus since around 2009 and its been amazing and liberating.
However I need a big upgrade in computing power.
The applications I want to publish are 32bit windows and they use mysql 5.5 databases.
There will be around 20 users.
I don't want physical hardware any more after many disasters.
So I am looking for a cloud based solution but it is very confusing- amazon, azure etc.
Basically I want to run a win7 ultimate or similar machine in the cloud with the latest version of TS Plus.
Can anyone with experience recommend any solutions please.
Many thanks in advance.
Simon
New cloud installation- some advice please
Re: New cloud installation- some advice please
I'm using Vultr.com (because they had a data centre in Miami) with up to 80 users on W2012R2, but they allow you to install whatever ISO image.
If I was hosting in Europe, I would likely be using OVH.com
By the way, update MySQL to 5.7 to gain a lot of speed - I would recommend replacing it with MariaDB.org 10.1

thanks for the tip Hansen. I looked at OVH and that's the way I will go.
I have clients in New Zealand, Hong Kong and Europe. This has been a bit of a headache so also needs to be a consideration. New Zealand users get worse performance for sure.
Thanks once again for the information.
