No Virtual Printer with HTML 5 Client and Internet Explorer

Post by chadnewman01 » Wed Mar 09, 2016 8:26 pm

When running the HTML 5 Client and Internet Explorer 11 there is no Virtual Printer available like with FireFox. Are there settings I can change in Internet Explorer so the Printer will appear?

Thanks,

Chad

Hello,

I do not reproduce this issue, make sure you installed a recent version of TSplus. Note that the Virtual Printer feature is supported only with the HTML5 web client.

Thanks much for the information. Just want to provide and update to the Virtual Printer not being available when using the HTML 5 client and IE 11.

If the site/domain are in the Compatible View, the Virtual Printer is not available for printing.

Thanks again,

Chad

If the site/domain are in the Compatible View, the Virtual Printer is not available for printing.
We do not support IE compatibility view because it is not html5 compatible mode without Websockets support etc., remove domain from compatibility view to work with html5 client or change to other browser.

If you have specific pages that you use separately of html5 client, just force these into compatibility mode with http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" entry rather than doing that for entire domain, since you break so html5 features requested for proper working of html5 client.
