New Installation

Post by AlanGidman » Wed Jun 25, 2014 3:00 pm

Hi there

I am currently installing and trialling Terminal Service Plus on a Windows SBS 2011 Standard. This is a Domain controller..

I have disabled on the router the port forwarding to the original service and just have 3389 for TS plus pointing to the server.

My problem is I have to create the users through Active Directory… and when I try to connect, it gets to the desktop for 5 secs then log me out automatically. The built in Adminstrator for AD is fine….is there something I'm doing wrong? Do I have to totally remove the original Terminal services and AD settings?

Hello,

Did you assign any applications to your users/groups yet or did you connect with a domain user and TSplus all default settings ? It is recommended that you remove the RDS role before installing TSplus.

I recommend you to watch this video to get you started with TSplus : youtu.be/oSQV3n09fz4

You will find here a documentation on how to publish new applications : terminalserviceplus.com/docs/application-publishing

And how to assign these applications to users : terminalserviceplus.com/docs/assigning-applications-to-users-or-groups
