Encrypt a RDP connection (Connectionclient)

Post by AadG » Fri Feb 12, 2021 11:45 am

Hi all,

What is the best way to secure a RDP connection via de TSPlus connectionclient.
I read that TSPlus offers it's own encrytion and in ConnectionClient there's a tab Encryption V2.
So when I choose the last option, will my Clientconnector be encrypted or the whole connection.

Any ideas are welcome.

Best regards,

Aad

I received an answer from the helpdesk that was very sufficient for me....

We use the RDP encryption, on High mode.
The High setting mode encrypts data sent from the client to the server and from the server to the client by using strong 128-bit encryption.

Use this encryption level in environments that contain only 128-bit clients (for example, clients that run Remote Desktop Connection).
Clients that do not support this encryption level cannot connect to RD Session Host servers.

However we don't use RDP certificated as they are dependent on RDS roles.
