CAPSLOCK issue

Post by cmarsura » Mon Sep 02, 2019 3:38 pm

HI,
I was able to reproduce a CAPSLOCK issue; this happen on Windows 2012R2 and Windows 2019 (2016 not tested), using Flexicloud 11.70.11.26, 12.30.6.14 and 12.40.8.28. We use published applications not remote desktops.

In Flexicloud publish Explorer to an user, connect to webpage with that user and from the Explorer window launch two instances of notepad putting them side by side; launch also an instance of the Screen Keyboard (C:\Windows\System32\osk.exe) to view the the real state of caps on the remote session.

Click on notepad 1, press CAPSLOCK on keyboard, the keyboard led is lit and osk.exe shows UPPERCASE, press some letters 'A' that appears uppercase, click on notepad 2, press some letters 'A' that appears uppercase, click on notepad 1, press CAPSLOCK on keyboard, now on the keyboard the capslock led is OFF but on osk the key continues to show as UPPERCASE; press some letters 'A' that are entered UPPERCASE in the notepad 1, press CAPSLOCK again and the caps state inverts (keyboard led ON, osk CAPSLOCK off), press some letters 'A' and these are entered LOWERCASE; from this point forward the cap states on keyboard and osk are reverted respect each other while you work on same remote window.
The caps state is synchronized only when you click on a local window and then on a remote window or when you click on another remote window.

This effect drive crazy our customers that are looking to the led to detect the caps state that in the reality is different from the showed state.
Note: this issue happens ONLY in published application; if we publish an entire remote desktop this strange thing does not happen.

Have any suggestion on this ?
Carlo
