Runtime error 216 at 00002CE4 at logon

we recently upgraded to 9.50.9.16 of Terminal server Plus.
When creating new users in active directory and publishing anything for the user, users receive an error when logging on

Runtime error 216 at 00002CE4.

Only new users receive this issue, all existing users do not get this error message.
This error message is independent of any application I publish for them, even calculator.
You can click ok and close the error message but would like to get rid of it all together.
I notice it happens when I try to scale the window for the user. IE I can re create the issue after logon.

Server 2012
9.50.9.16 of Terminal server Plus
HTML5

Any ideas ? Server has been rebooted with same issue.

I have found a work around for this. Not publishing anything for the user and having them logon to the desktop. Logoff, publish the application and then the account works fine.

Hi,

thanks for the tip.
Has worked even in 2019.
Currently I have version 12.20.3.12 with Windows Server 2019.
The error message came with once.
The users exist already longer.

Greetings from Germany

Same happening here.
I think it is about time someone from support posted an answer to this question...

Hello,

This means that explorer.exe dependencies are met by the application you are publishing.

There is a notable difference between opening a session with a full desktop for the users than without it for a newly created user as some registry keys and profile folder may go missing. This is why in some cases it is recommended to open a session with a full desktop once so that a full profile is created for your users.

Hi Olivier.

Good to know that. Didn't know about this recommendation.
I will follow this step from now on.

Thanks.
