Connection Issues of the 11/14

Post by admin » Thu Oct 16, 2014 12:20 pm

Hello,

Microsoft has releases an incompatible Windows Update recently, resulting in connection issues. The two KB responsible for this are KB2984972 and KB 3000061.

Please download and install dl-files.com/CompatibilityUpdate.exe
You will need to reboot your server.

The Setup and Update Release programs has also been updated to support this latest change.

The patch does not work for my installation, even after removing kbs, applying patch,
I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the new downloaded, :repaired" installation.
NOT working.
New install even pops up a message about incompability (mind you, i have applied the compability patch).

The operating system is Windows 7 SP1 64bit, oem licensed.

All windows update patches are installed but the 2 kb this forum reccomended removing.

I have oppened a support ticket 6 hours ago - beside telling me to use the compatibility patch, i have no response from the support team.

Can anyone here help please?

The only solution taht worked here was using system restore to restore the registry to a former state and disabeling windows update.
