Configuration migration

Post by krzysiek44 » Wed May 14, 2014 9:51 am

Hello,
we are setting up new servers with Windows 8 and latest version of TSplus. Is there any kind of possibility of automatic migration (or semi-automatic) of configuration from old servers? Will appreciate any help.

Regards

Hello,

Open an admintool, click on the server tile tab, then click on locate "Backup your server parameters". everything is saved in a newly creater folder C:\Backupparam
Copy this folder on your new server at the same location.
You can now uninstall and reinstall TSplus, and click on "Restore your server parameters" to restore everything.

Thanks for reply. Will this also work when we have an older version of TSplus (release 3.40.11.70 from 2011) on old servers?

Hello,

This is not advisable, upgrade your version of TSplus so that they are of the same release to avoid any compatibility issue.

For the most part, this does back up everything. However, I still find that I have to configure several options. Mostly Web and it only appears to be setting that were changed from the default, obviously.

Web:

Web Portal Preferences
Web Portal Design
HTML5 Client
RemoteApp Client

Gateway:
Load balancing & Failover

Are we missing something or are there additional folders/Hiles that should be copied?

Hello,

I confirm that with the current release everything is saved including loadbalancing and customized web pages.
